Anybody remember this game?I don't remember too much about this, but I remember playing the first level and the second of I believe Nightmare Creatures II a LOT when I was younger:lol. I remember it being pretty hard. That is why I never got very far. Speaking of it, I would actually like to re-try these games now, about. Well, 12 years later it must be?!:) To be honest, I can't remember if it was 1 or 2 I played, but I remember the first level you had to walk forward a bit, and then if you looked to your right there was like a little cave thing (it's only one room), and then if you went straight on from the start of the level, you end up in a graveyard, if I remember correctly.
I have Nightmare Creatures II on Dreamcast. It sucks because it's unfairly hard. And I don't mean challenging. This game throws a tons of monsters at you in a 3D beat-em up with horror overtones. But there's like no power-ups or health or anythng to help you out and the monsters just overwhelm you. And to top it all off, you don't even have a chance to be skilled against them because this is a button-masher in the most basic sense. It's just a poor, poor game that was more concerned with looking like a cross between a Marilyn Manson and Cradle of Filth music video rather than actually being a good game.
Nightmare Creatures is an action-packed, console to PC action adventure, set in 1834 London. A very evil man by the name of Adam Crowley heads the Brotherhood of Hecate.
The only reason I still own it is because no shops I've tried to trade it in to have wanted it since it's disc only and nearly unheard of. I haven't played the first game, but if the sequel is any indicator, I don't want to. I had the demo for the PC version when I was a kid and I thought the game was great. The demo level took place in a snowy graveyard. The NC I remember looks nothing like that terrible screen:? Fend_oblivion Actually, I thought that the screen looked pretty good, especially since it must have came out around 1997 or 1998, but that's just me:P. Interesting to see a lot of people did play it, but not much, just like me! I actually want to try this game again soon now.
But to be honest, at the same time, I don't want to since somebody above said that there is no health or anything (perhaps THAT is why I could never get very far). Give it a try and let me know if the game is any good. I'd like to finish the complete game:P. I have Nightmare Creatures II on Dreamcast. It sucks because it's unfairly hard.

Emerald_Warrior This. [QUOTE='SciFiCat']If you want to find it this game is abandonware now, you can download it legally for free on Abandonia.com Emerald_Warrior I find it hard to believe that it's truly a legal download since it was published by Konami, who is still quite alive and doing well. Just visit the site and see for yourself, there is a bunch of DOS games as well that publishers just let go for free because are too old to be commercially viable anymore. The best few have been picked up by GOG and no longer are available but the link is there to direct to the GOG website for purchase. The only things I recall about the game was that everyone at the time compared it to 'Tomb Raider' (although most were unfavorable, as memory serves). When I rented it, I played it for roughly two minutes, and then yelled 'This is NOTHING like 'Tomb Raider'!'
